Covid era work made during lockdown in Los Angeles
Even though I’ve been a prolific thrower since the 1990’s in New York, It’s here where my love for clay as a material really started to take shape. Its responsiveness and vibrant materiality brought to life my curiosity and started me on this current journey. Living on the Southern California coastline brought me up close to the tragedy unfolding in the pacific ocean and in fact all over the world. It’s in the following work that I started to explore ways of representing this in clay.
